Terms & Conditions

WWSDance Terms & Conditions

Welcome!

We’re so excited to welcome you to Wendy Whatling School of Dance!

These terms are here to keep everything clear and fair for all families, and to ensure classes run smoothly and safely for everyone. Please read them carefully - by signing up, you agree to the terms below.

1. General Information

WWSDance and its teaching team hold enhanced DBS checks, public liability insurance, and are fully first aid trained.

Whilst every care is taken, participation in dance classes involves a degree of physical activity and associated risk. WWSDance and its staff are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during participation in classes, except where required by law.

WWSDance reserves the right to remove any student from its programme, without refund, in the event of inappropriate, disruptive, or disrespectful behaviour towards staff or other students.

Parents/guardians must declare any medical conditions at the time of registration and update WWSDance of any changes via email.

Parents/guardians must also declare and update photo and video consent preferences.

2. Booking & Attendance

Enrolment is only confirmed once payment has been received. Paid places will always take priority.

Missed classes due to personal circumstances (including illness, holidays, or school trips) are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.

Where a class is cancelled by WWSDance due to unforeseen circumstances or minimum numbers not being met, a make-up class or refund will be offered.

Students should arrive at least 5 minutes before class start time and wear correct uniform once settled into their class.

3. Trials & Enrolment

Trial classes are non-refundable but may be rescheduled where appropriate.

Following a trial, WWSDance will contact parents regarding enrolment.

If enrolling, the following will be payable to secure a place:

  • Enrolment fee
  • First monthly payment
  • Notice Period Deposit
  • Any classes attended in the month of joining

4. Fees & Payments

Fees are taken monthly by Direct Debit on the 1st of each month.

We run approximately 36 weeks of classes per year. The annual cost is divided equally across 12 monthly payments, meaning the monthly fee remains consistent throughout the year, including months where classes are not running.

Upon joining, an initial payment will be taken. This includes your Notice Period Deposit plus any remaining classes in the month of joining (less any trial fee already paid). This secures your child’s place in class.

The Notice Period Deposit is not an additional month of classes. It is held on your account and applied to your final month’s fees once the required notice period has been given.

Due to school term structures, the number of teaching weeks may vary slightly each year, with occasional minor variations above or below 36 weeks.

All fees are inclusive of VAT.

5. Notice Period

One month’s written notice is required to withdraw from classes.

During the notice period, monthly payments will continue as normal. The Notice Period Deposit will be applied to the final month of attendance.

6. Failed Payments

If a Direct Debit payment fails, we will automatically attempt to re-collect the payment through our payment provider and the account holder will be notified.

Each failed payment will incur a £3 administration fee, reflecting additional processing and administrative time involved. This fee will be added to the next Direct Debit collection.

It is the account holder’s responsibility to ensure sufficient funds are available on the payment date.

Where a payment fails on three or more occasions, WWSDance reserves the right to suspend attendance until the account is fully up to date and a reliable payment method is in place.

7. Fees & Changes

WWSDance reserves the right to adjust fees where necessary. A minimum of one month’s written notice will be given prior to any changes.
